In the interest of equal time, I would like to point you at EverBabe's & SuperMark's houze. This house is MUCH less in the middle of nowhere, and would make a great house, as long as you never had to cross Spaghetti Junction. They've spent a bunch of $$$ replacing the roof and painting inside and out, so it's in great condition. Thought about buying it, but then realized it was out of my price range.
